1830 Will Of A Kentucky Woman Including Five Slaves. The 2-1/2 page will of Lettice Brooking of Madison County, Kentucky, February 1, 1830. A woman of considerable property, Mrs. Brooking bequeaths much of it to her husband, including seven slaves--one man, three women, two girls, and a boy--to be his until his death, at which time they are to be divided among his four children and another woman, Charity Thomason. Thomason is also to receive, immediately upon Lettice's death, four other slaves, to belong to her and her heirs. 12.5" x 7.75", light soiling; otherwise, Fine.
