Gentleman’s Magazine, London, June 1753, 48pp., disbound. From the interior, 1-3/4 pages discussing the Naturalizations of Jews as an act of Parlement. In introduction, “The Bill, permitting the Jews to be Naturalized by Parliament, having been misrepresented in the London Gazetteer, of Friday 18th of May; and probably having never been read either by the Author of that Paper, or by several others who have since figured a Petition which that paper was calculated to support or remove those false Impressions, the following short but true State of Facts is submitted to the Consideration of the Public...”. From Charleston, a great full page print of: "St. Philip's Church in Charles Town, South Carolina" with just a small bit of text on it on the facing page reading: "The church is esteemed one of the most regular & complete structures of the kind in America. The design was sent us from Charles-Town where it has a very advantageous situation at the upper end of a broad extensive street.". Quite rare to find prints of American architecture in this magazine. And also, “Description of Louisiania,” 2-1/2 pages of detail description.
