On clear glass in half case, the subject being a somewhat lugubrious soul, the mat stamped FARIS / CIN. O. Established as a photographer in 1841, Faris operated out of Cincinnati before relocating to New York after 1859. Some light spotting, attractive blue haloing along the mat's edge. Very good condition.
