Deeply embossed leather boards, the front cover being personalized "B. G. Weston" in gilt, oblong quarto (9 ½" x 6 ½"), 25 internal leaves capable of holding 100 images, 90 portraits are present, most of which are identified. The opening page has a CDV of immediate past President Nathan Lord beside one of current President Asa D. Smith. Lord had been at Dartmouth's helm for 35 years when his extreme pro-slavery views cost him his job in 1863. Curiously, a few black students had attended the college during his administration. This collection includes one CDV of a racially mixed scholar. Fine condition overall.
