Moore, Charles W., LAWRIE'S HISTORY OF FREEMASONRY, WITH ADDITIONS, NOTES, CRITICAL AND HISTORICAL, ALSO, AN HISTORICAL SKETCH OF THE MASONIC INSTITUTION IN AMERICA (Boston: Moore & Sevey, 1829), 256pp., 16mo, three-quarter calf boards, inside front cover pencil inscribed "Alexandria Lodge #22." George Washington was the first Worshipful Master of this lodge. Front cover loose, else good condition…plus; 1860s CDV imprinted "Washington and Family" on the mat, no backmark. Creases, good condition.
