Gov, 1866 and elected to the U.S. Congress on the Greenback Ticket, 1 page, octavo, no date probably 1850's, in part: "...Please deliver the negro attached in the case of Thoroughman & Perkins to A.M. McCorkle who will settle the debt with me. You will deliver the negro upon Mr. M's settling the cost. The negro is not bound by the judgment in favor of Palmer...I am attorney for Palmer as well as for Throroughman and Perkins..." VG
