Hand-colored carte de visite, titled "THE COLORED VOLUNTEER" 1863, from an engraving of Thomas Nast, depicting a young Black boy as if he was marching off to war. This was issued at the time that President Lincoln was raising Colored troops for the war. A great rendering by the famed Nast, in carte form. Fine.
