The Jim Crow Jubilee. A Collection of Negro Melodies as sung by A. F. Winnemore & his band of Serenaders by Augustus Clapp (Boston: George P. Reed, 1847), 5pp., large folio, 10 1/4" x 13 1/2", the lyrics are written in dialect as would become the norm for such material during the 19th century, reading, in part: "when old Ned die, Massa take it wery bad…Old Missus cry and she look'd wery sad." Light foxing, very good condition.
