A complete issue of the Illustrated London News, April 14, 1849, 16pp., disbound, VG. From the interior is a report “Slavery on the Coast of Africa” which is illustrated with four engravings. One shows a cut-away of a slave boat which carries 200 slaves below deck; another shows whipping the slave; and still another shows the Brits burning a Spanish slave establishment.
