Bound volume, APPENDIX TO THE CONGRESSIONAL GLOBE, FOR THE FIRST SESSION, THIRTY-SECOND CONGRESS: CONTAINING SPEECHES AND IMPORTANT STATE PAPERS (Washington City: John C. Rives, 1852), 1,192pp, quarto, ¾ leather over marbled boards. The Congressional Globe recorded legislative debates between 1833 and 1873. This volume, produced as sectional animosities reached fever pitch, devotes much ink to the question of slavery's future in America. Wear and corner bumps to the covers, internal foxing, tight binding. Very good condition.
