A complete issue of The Illustrated London News, January 5, 1867, 24 pp., disbound, VG. From the interior, “Capture of a Slaver on the Coast of Madagascar”, reports the capture of of a dhow with 30 male adults, 26 female adults, 80 boys, 40 girls, a total of 176 slaves. this is accompanied with two 1/2 page engravings, “Capture of a Slave Dhow ....” and, “HMS Lyra Disembarking Slaves ...”
