A complete issue of Harper’s Weekly, April 13, 1867, 16pp., disbound, VG. The back page carries a searing 1/2 page Thomas Nast illustration, “We Accept the Situation.” A Blackman, a former Union soldier, proudly displays a slip of paper labeled "A vote" while a disgruntled former Confederate soldier, with a frown on his face, his hands in his pockets, and a torn slip of paper at his feet labeled "No vote", stands before a broadsheet "Military Bill" with the notice: "Except such as may be disfranchised for participation in the Rebellion or for felony".
