The great contralto appears here with Franz Rupp at the piano in Philadelphia on April 12, 1957. The concert was sponsored by the all-black Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority. Anderson was famously denied an appearance at DAR Constitution Hall in 1939 because of her race. Creases to the cover wrap, internally fine.
