In part, “Daniel was arrested on a warrant issued by me and carried to my office ... Daniel had been wounded by a blow on the head ... but his wound had been dressed ... Witness testified ..had purchased Daniel for $700 ... That about four months later, the boat on which Daniel was, in capacity of cook, mad a trip to Cincinnati and from that place Daniel escaped ... Then, a second separate report, “The Fugitive Slave Bolding,” brief legal report from New York.
