War-date Confederate officer's Autograph Note Signed "TJ," one page, 8vo, with verso docketing at "H Qrs A.M," n.p., March 18, 1862, to P. G. T. Beauregard (not stated) reading: "I telegraphed to Bragg and suggested to him to take measures to hurry them up at Bethel & Henderson & his reply I send Hindmans Brigade & Woods Battery also a Regiment & four companies of Cavalry from Johnston at Corinth. All appears going well." This battlefield communiqué was penned as the Battle of Shiloh loomed on the horizon. Very good condition.
