Beck Maj. & Q.M., Wharton’s Cavalry.” In full, Rec’d Huston Texas, march 22, 1865 of major Ed. A. Burk Q.M. & Inspt. to transport the sum of one hundred and twenty thousand ($120,000) dollars (new issue) for which I am accountable at CS Treasury. the same to be used only for purchase of horses and mules.”
