Booklet, The South's Battle Abbey, 32pp., small 8vo, printed paper wraps, no publisher's information, circa 1895, the authors propose funding an institution to safely house Confederate relics and records long after the veterans have passed away. The booklet concludes with a complete listing of engagements involving Union and Confederate forces. The existing Confederate Memorial Building in New Orleans is known as "Battle Abbey of the South," being named such after the English church on the site of the Battle of Hastings. The booklet with light soiling.
