Autograph document signed "N. Lyons" as "Capt. 2nd Infty Commg," one page, 8vo, April 25, 1861, n.p. (St. Louis, Missouri), an order issuing camp supplies to a Captain Andrews. Nathaniel Lyon was promoted to brigadier some three weeks after this was penned. At the Battle of Wilson's Creek on August 10th he became the first Union general to be killed in action. Mounted to a second sheet, overall soiling. Good condition.
