A complete issue of the Frank Leslie’s Illustrated Newspaper, May 11, 1861, 16pp., disbound VG. From the interior, a full page engraving, “The Bodies of the Volunteers of the Sixth Massachusetts Regiment Who Were Killed in the Riot at Baltimore, MD., Borne In Solemn Procession Past the Boston Common...” with an associated report. Also, a 1/2 page centerspread, The Departure of Col. Ellsworth Zouaves From New York Escorted by the Fire Department ....” Of course he would be killed two weeks from the date of this publication. And, another impressive engraving is the full page “Landing of the Sixth Regiment at the Wharf of the Naval Academy at Annapolis Maryland.”
