A fine printed Northern poem, 4 1/2" x 9", entitled: 'OUR NAVY.' Foxboro, [Mass.], by a certain O. H. M. who patriotically remembers the epic battle between the Monitor and Merrimac, in part: "The Union ship is now afloat with Union men we've manned her…though Floyd may seem bold and brave, He is a coward and traitor…the rebels raised the Merrimac and iron-bound her neatly…they though tot clear the track and pepper us completely. The 'Monitor' as strong a ship as ever plowed the ocean…when she met the Merrimac…o wonders! how she blowed her…". Expected wear, else VG.
