Miner in Texas, it reads in part: “...I am sorry to hear that you were opposed to secession, but am glad to know that you are reconciled to the position your state has assumed - which in my opinion is the best it could have taken under any circumstances...I heard from Howell the other day - he is in Nashville yet but is going to remove to Texas because Tenn. would not secede...” Paper loss, else about Good.
