The first ribbon, 4" x 7 ½" overall, from the 1884 Democratic National Convention, consisting of a Mississippi Alternate Delegate ribbon affixed to a "Bayard 1884" ribbon (promoting Senator T. F. Bayard of Delaware)…plus: a Mississippi Alternate Delegate ribbon, 2" x 7", from the 1888 Democratic National Convention, no candidate endorsed. Substantial fracturing to the silk of the 1884 ribbons; wear only to the 1888 ribbon.
