Oil on oval ivory panel, signed "Morton" in the right field, presented behind glass in an ebonized wooden frame fitted with an attachment loop stamped as a Scottish thistle. Possibly executed in the late 1820s by John Ludlow Morton (American, 1792-1871). Excellent style and quality. 5" x 5 ½" overall, fine condition.
