Sheet Music, “To Judge E.B. Crocker of San Francisco, Cal. Continental Railroad Chorus, Crossing the Grand Sierras,” by Henry C. Work, Chicago, 1870, 10pp., minor cover stain, reinforced tape at spine. In 1863, then-Governor Leland Stanford appointed Edwin Bryant Crocker as a Justice of the California Supreme Court. The next year, Crocker agreed to serve as legal counsel for the Central Pacific Railroad, a company run by the Big Four, which included Edwin's younger brother, Charles Crocker. In 1869 the Transcontinental Railroad was officially completed.
