Autograph Letter Signed, "Molly Turner", 2p. folio, Duplin County, North Carolina, March 28, 1862, to her husband John M. Turner, a 32 year old farmer who enlisted in Co "A" of the 43rd North Carolina, on March 6, 1862, and would later die on a night march February, 1863, with hand carried cover addressed to Turner in Raleigh. In part: "…I went to Kenansville this morning to get you some cloth to make you a mattress tick but it cost so much that I could not give the price and I heard that Alexander Chambers was going back to you tomorrow and I thought that I would write you a few lines…I received your clothes and likeness yesterday…I was glad to receive your likeness I did kiss it soon as I looked at it…" VG.
