Rail Road crosses. There is a very long bridge here and they have erected a block house at each end with port holes in every direction they are built of logs and are very strong and unless battered down Artillery I dont think that they can be taken they were built for the protection of the brige from raiders...I think that they are looking for a Yankee raid in this part of the country as there are a good many cavalry some distnace further in towards Knoxville....” VG.
