Autograph Letter Signed, “Gerald Crist” 52nd Virginia Infantry, wounded three times in action, and taken prisoner at Nelson County, Virginia, June 11, 1864, this letter is 2p. octavo, Camp Chase, August 29, 1864, with cover addressed to his mother and bears a RICHMOND postmark, and reads in part: “...I have been well since I have been here John Berry, Hugh Beard, Frank Carrol, Jerry Troxal, Mr. Elliot, William Miller and the Boys who are from Rockbridge are all well...” Fine.
