Partially printed document, "Requisition for clothing," one page, oblong 4to, Augusta, Georgia, November 3, 1864, signed by Captain J. M. Moore, Acting Quartermaster, reading, in part: "…Destitute - the Negroes are reported regularly on my orders & are entitled to clothes as per contract per hire…" Listed are four "Free Negroes" and two others, presumably slaves, requiring shoes and caps. Very good.
