“Pro Patria, America’s Greatest Patriots,” Kurz & Allison, uncolored, 1890, 28” x 22,” minor water stain in lower left margin, taped to mount, strong print. The images include Presidents Washington, Lincoln, and Garfield. Originally, the print included President Grant. On September 6, 1901 President William McKinley, was shot and killed in Buffalo, New York. This print, by the Chicago firm of Kurz & Allison, is an updated version of the 1890 print which included Grant, with McKinley now joining the pantheon of Washington, Lincoln and Garfield.
