A wonderful collection of six (6) American political silhouette lithograph prints published by E. B. & E. C. Kellogg, Hartford, CT, 1844, each measuring approximately 12 1/2" x 16 5/8" and from drawings by William H. Brown. This lot includes: HENRY WISE (1806-1876) Virginia congressman, governor the state during the Civil War and Confederate general. THOMAS HART BENTON (1782-1858) Missouri senator and firm advocate for westward expansion of the U. S. THOMAS COOPER (1759-1839) early American economist and college president. RICHARD MENTOR JOHNSON (1780-1850) vice president of the U. S. under Martin Van Buren. DE WITT CLINTON (1769-1828) U. S. Senator and governor of New York, instrumental in the construction of the Erie Canal. MOURNING MEMORIAL TO GEORGE WASHINGTON. Some with negligible spotting or margin chipping otherwise overall VG to near fine.
