A wonderful collection of six (6) American political silhouette lithograph prints published by E. B. & E. C. Kellogg, Hartford, CT, 1844, each measuring approximately 12 1/2" x 16 5/8" and from drawings by William H. Brown. This lot includes: JOHN C. CALHOUN (1782-1850) South Carolina fire brand and twice vice president. RICHARD CHANNING MOORE (1762-1841) second bishop of the Diocese of Virginia. NATHANIEL POTTER TALLAMADGE (1795-1864) U. S. Senator from New York and Governor of Wisconsin Territory. JOEL ROBERTS POINSETT (1779-1851) first U. S. minister to Mexico, Secretary of War under Van Buren and cofounder of what is today the Smithsonian Institute. WILLIAM WHITE (1748-1836) first bishop of the Diocese of Pennsylvania and the second chaplain of the U. S. Senate. Rendition of Letter by GEORGE WASHINGTON to JOHN TRUMBULL dated May 14, 1784. Some with negligible spotting or margin chipping otherwise overall VG to near fine.
