The lot offers multiple copies of two dates: [3] issues of April 28, 1945 with a headline, Festung Bayern (Fortress Bayern; ...plus, [2] issues of April 30, 1945, with a headline, Grobschlacht um Bayern (Battle for Bayern). These are very likely the final issues of Volkischer BeoBachter as the final battle for Munich began April 29, 1945. The city itself was captured, as the German defenders there offered only light resistance April 30, 1945. Berlin fell May 2, 1945.
