IVERSON, ALFRED (1798 - 1873) Confederate brigadier general of the 20th North Carolina, captured George Stoneman and 500 of his cavalrymen in southern Georgia during Sherman's March to the Sea. Bold pre-war signature adding state "Georgia". Very good.
