Presidential Candidate William Jennings Bryan & Family c. 1896 to 1900 Cabinet Card Photograph, William Jennings Bryan and Family, Reverse printed with Electoral College Statistics and Vasaline Ad, Very Fine. Unusual Cabinet Card Photograph, slightly light else VG., shows vignetted images of Presidential Candidate William Jennings Bryan and his Family, with legend "WM. J. Bryan And Family" below the image. The reverse is highly informative and fully printed in black, showing the "Electoral College Vote" along with a "Vaseline" Advertisement. William Jennings Bryan (1860-1925) of Lincoln, Nebraska was Born in Illinois in 1860, William Jennings Bryan influenced Nebraskan and United States politics for thirty years. Bryan came to Lincoln in 1887 at the beginning of the Populist Revolt, an agrarian political movement spurred on by the depression of the late 1880's. Often regarded as the greatest orator of his time, Bryan capitalized on his tremendous personal magnetism and speaking ability to champion the Populist cause.
