Kemper Co., Miss," one page, 8vo, n.p., January 19, 1865, reading, in part: "Slaves impressed under the act of Congress of the Confederate States entitled "an act to increase the efficiency of the army by impressment of Free Negroes and slaves in certain capacitys (sic)" - approved Feb 17th 1864 / Enrolling Office Kemper County..." This receipt names "Bill," age 26, worth $4500 and belonging to "Mrs. B. Dawson." Uneven margins on coarse late war Confederate paper.
