Bound Volume of [+/-120] 4-page issues of the Evening Post, New York, December 2, 1861 through May 20, 1862, (February is not present) tightly bound, VG. An unusual 10 column “horse blanket” issue measures 26” x 30,” allows for more reported events. Additionally, the Evening Post, often presented the news with column headline “First Edition,” “Second Edition,” “Third Edition,” making for an impressive format. There is just too much war action to present content reports by issue, but clearly the key and daily events of the war are reported in this New York newspaper.
