PACIFIC COAST SOUVENIR (Oakland: E. S. Denison, 1888), 46 photographic plates followed by 12pp. descriptive text, embossed dark olive cloth with the Great Seal of California on the back cover. The halftone photographs herein were crude by even early 20th century standards, however they were a start on the road away from engraved book illustration. There are also some really neat Old West mages, including one of a Wells Fargo stagecoach. Light wear to cover, very good condition.
