Chrisman, Brookhaven, Mississippi, reading, in part: "…I was short of hands, a Capt Meriwether send Mr. J. D. Riggle of the Texas Infantry…He has not therefore received any pay from Maj Jackson for his services…& has been a good hand…" Very good condition.
