An identified imaged identified as "Sgt. Abr Whitehorn / Co "H" 107th N. Y. Vol." anchors this small collection. It shows a Union officer wearing the plain shoulder straps of a 2nd Lieutenant and has a backmark attributing the portrait to "Mrs. E. S. Kenyon, Photographer, Somerville, N. J." (Photography was a highly unusual profession for a lady of the mid-19th century!) Included are two more portraits of Abram Whitehorn, one civilian, and (9) portraits of relatives, these having backmarks - where present - from New York, New Jersey, Michigan and Wisconsin. Very good condition.
