AN ORDINANCE to Regulate the Military System of the State of Mississippi, one page, 8" x 12 ¾", Jackson, January 23, 1861. The military policies outlined herein were agreed to within two weeks of Mississippi's secession. Mississippi was to raise ten regiments of Infantry, each from a specific set of counties. Cavalry and Artillery recruitment quotas were statewide, however companies could be raised "indiscriminately." Mild age toning, two horizontal fold creases. Parrish & Willingham 3285. Very good condition.
