Nash (?)" under Governor Pettus, one page, 4to, Jackson, Mississippi, May 1, 1862, ordering "…change several car loads of tools - belonging to the Mechanic shop of Messrs A W Paxton & Co - of Vicksburg - which he is instructed to take on to Columbus Miss…" Confederate ordnance depots had been established at Corinth and Columbus. Stains, good condition.
