Partially printed doccument, one page, oblong 8vo, Port Gibson, Mississippi, June 12, 1861, receipt imprinted by merchant R. Parkinson, made to the “Fairview Rifles” for 226 yards of uniform cloth. This local company became Co. “G,” 16 th Mississippi Infantry and served in the Army of Northern Virginia until its surrenderat Appomattox. Very good condition.
