Medals, baseballs, a laurel wreath and sports equipment provide an athletic theme for this folio scrapbook published in 1887. The book's light blue covers are done up in true Gilded Age fashion with lavish spot coloring and foil stamped embossing. The book is loaded with material spanning the last third of the 19th century, however very little of this is related to sports. Fascinating content nonetheless. Very good condition.
