U. S. Grant (1822-1885). Union General during th Civil War, And Presidnt of the a United States from 1869-1877. Beautiful cabinet card image, Houseworth, San Francisco photographers imprint. A facsimile of Grant's signature is on the mount. The image was likely taken in 1879 while a Grant was in San Francisco during his world tour. An excellent image.
