Autograph Letter Signed by Samuel Horne, 11th Connecticut Infantry, who was awarded the Medal of Honor for his actions at Fort Harrison, Virginia, September 29, 1864, where “While acting as an aide and carrying an important message, was severely wounded and his horse killed but delivered the order and rejoined his general.” This letter 1p. octavo, August 23, 1910, reads in part: “... An auto. ran into me while on my bike. The wheel ran over my right elbow, beside otherwise hurting me. Five weeks later I sent him my bill & he paid up like a man. No bones were broken...I am hearity in favor of Atlantic City, N.J. Can we bring it off during the G.A.R. encampment? I have a vote in that meeting...” VG.
