This novel circular fan doubles as a scorer and provides rotating wheels along its edges to record the inning as well as the respective number of runs and hits for each club. A colorful illustration of a pitcher is featured in the center. A patent date of May 17, 1904, appears along the base. Produced by The Meek Company of Ohio. This was issued by retailers as a promotional piece, with the offered fan having been distributed by "I. Marx Clothier and Hatter" of Johnstown, Pennsylvania. All of the original scoring wheels remain attached. The fan remains firmly attached to its wooden handle, yet has numerous light tears but displays beautifully.
