Colonel S. G. French, Army of Mississippi, 2pp., 4to, on Ordnance Department letterhead, Jackson, June 30, 1861, wherein French requests the check be signed…plus; Partially printed State of Mississippi receipt for military goods, one page, 4to, June 29, 1861, shown delivered to S. G. French, Chief of Ordnance…plus; two Adams Express receipts made out to S. G. French, each one page, oblong 8vo, July 1, 1861 and September 27, 1861. Samuel G. French would become a Confederate Major-General and Division commander in the Army of Tennessee. All items very good or better condition.
