Quarter-plate tintype in full case, this private wears a sack coat, his waist belt secured by either an M1851 sword belt plate or a privately issued militia eagle plate, he stands against a painted camp backdrop holding a musket and having what is probably a small Colt "police revolver" tucked in his belt. Some wear to the high points on the case, overall fine condition
