Blanvelt” 4p. octavo, on McClellan stationary, December 28, 1861, Lewinsville, Virginia, it reads in part: “...I suppose you heard of the fight we had with the cursed Rebels out at Drainsville it is only 6 miles from here...we gave them fits out there so you see the cursed rascals dont make anything out of us we are nasty boys yet. We made a good strike down in Missouri well it appears that old John Bull, would like to put his bill in this muss...we can whip him and Secesh both together...” More. VG.
