Brigade, Smiths Division, November 5, 1861, addressed to Colonel J.P. Taylor, and reads in part “I received...the Treasurer of the U.S. draft on NY for $6000...If the requisition sent by me for $15000 has not been filled would it not be well to have it transferred...” VG.
